Sr. Data Architect/Engineer

We are looking for a Sr. Data Architect/Engineer who will work side-by-side with multiple teams at Career Now Brands. Together you will manage, provide and enforce Data Governance best practices. You will create and design new data models, structure data warehouses and administer existing RDMS’. Our environment is fast paced, dynamic, proactive and full of career growth.

● Design and create models representing how data is organized, stored, and accessed. This includes designing data schemas, data warehouses, and data lakes

● Responsible for managing data integration from various sources, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and meets business requirements

● Responsible for ensuring that data is protected from unauthorized access and that data privacy regulations are followed

● Create policies that govern how data is managed, used, and accessed internally

● Work closely with key stakeholders across the business to understand their data needs and to ensure that data architecture aligns with business goals and objectives

● Responsible for identifying and implementing processes to improve data quality

● Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data management and recommend new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the data management process

● Strong ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous requests

● Effectively manage the Analytics Platform, ensuring the platform is reliable, scalable, and secure

● Successfully lead and own a project with very minimal supervision, from inception to delivery and operational maintenance

● Assist with future release planning and some data analysis

● Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience as a Database Developer, Database Administer and/or Data Architect)

● Experience with BI Tooling (PowerBI/Excel, Tableau)

● High Proficiency in Python

● Proven experience building and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline

● Knowledge and experience of modern orchestration tooling such as Airflow/Astronomer

● Experience developing infrastructure as code with Terraform

● Experience of building/developing/managing data using the Data Vault architecture with DBT

● Thorough knowledge of RDMS Systems (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Postgress)

● Schema Design (Relational & Dimensional)

● OLTP / OLAP / Graph / Multi-Model / NoSQL

● ETL/ELT process design and tooling

● Knowledge of Agile Methodologies

● An organized and systematic approach to problem solving

● Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

● Self-Starter and Critical thinker who can multitask

● Database Sizing and DR experience

● AWS RDS experience (Hardware/Software)
