We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who will work closely with subject matter experts, peers, and clients to develop customer and campaign reporting and analysis using a variety of tools and data sources including but not limited to: Snowflake, Tableau, R, Google Analytics, and Facebook.

Candidates will be expected to consult with users to define and document metrics, use cases, and other reporting requirements then execute the analysis and/or dashboard creation using Tableau and supporting data tools while adhering to information design best practices. Successful candidates will become the analytic subject matter expert over their business unit by consistently providing insights to drive business decisions and proactively identifying opportunities for deeper analysis.

The work product from these tasks can take multiple forms including ad-hoc analysis packages, dashboards, infographics, interactive ‘what if’ calculators, and enterprise reporting suites.

What you will do:

  • Serve a multitude of functions including but not limited to: marketing insights, business analysis, data stewardship, data analysis, data engineering, report/dashboard design, development, and maintenance
  • Consult with other team members on data analysis and data management questions
  • Gather requirements and produce documentation
  • Work with the development team to enhance/create new data models for data warehouse consumption
  • Develop SQL queries in Snowflake for reports, dashboards, and analyses
  • Create light-weight code in Tableau to drive metrics/functions
  • Automate dashboards and reports leveraging Tableau Online and advanced Tableau Desktop functionality
  • Manage portfolio of BI apps ensuring peers and client’s needs are met
  • Run a combination of semi-automated and automated reports and identify outliers, reconciling as necessary
  • Develop methodologies for aggregating results from various programs and campaigns
  • Confirm data integrity and perform analysis to identify trends
  • Reconcile disjointed data sources as needed
  • Forecast and track key account metrics

What you will need:

  • 2+ years of developing SQL queries for analysis purposes (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.)
  • 2+ years of designing and developing dashboards, reports, and analyses (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with clients developing insights
  • BA/BS degree in a math, computer science or related analytical degree is preferred but not required. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
  • Highly accountable self-starter with the ability to work well within a group and independently
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to perform deep QA and reconciliation activities
  • Solid information design skills based on best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements; programming experience
  • Must show a strong understanding of data, data relationships, and database structures
  • Must be able to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Priority will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following BI/analysis/ETL/Warehousing software packages: Tableau, Snowflake, & Matillion.
